Mohanlal will have a Deepavali release this year. His ‘Rock and Roll’ with director Renjith will clash with Dileep's ‘Kolkata News’ for this Deepavali, as both the films are planning to get into theatres by the 8th of November.

Mohanlal is back after his 40 day US stage programs to join the shoot of Ranjith's ‘Rock and Roll’, which is going on in full swing. Mohanlal is altogether in a different getup, as drummer Chandramauli in this low budgeted film.

Lakshmi Rai is debuting as the heroine in Malayalam with ‘Rock and Roll’, which has music by Vidyasagar. He will complete the climax of the film in Thiruvananthapuram by the end of this week and will join Sibi Malayil's ‘Flash’ in Kanjanghad by October 10.

Meanwhile Mohanlal's 'Pardesi'' is going to grace the theatres for this Ramzan. The film is the first Malayalam movie taken for distribution by the prestigious Pyramid Saimira Productions.
